The global cosmetics company IsaDora selected Gung as a partner due to its solid experience and the right type of ERP. After several years of successful collaboration, it has become evident that Gung's positive attitude and quick customer service have contributed to IsaDora's continued market-leading position.
The solution? A Gung-based customer portal solution for major customers and an internal sales portal with PIM.
Growing Pains
IsaDora, a beauty brand born in Sweden 40 years ago, has become a beacon of high-quality, fragrance-free makeup, gracing over 4,000 stores in 40 countries. Distributed through renowned retailers like Douglas, Apotea, Lyko, and Kicks - IsaDora has woven its way into the fabric of global beauty culture.
Around 2018-2019, IsaDora embarked on a transformative journey. Recognizing the need to elevate their processes and product data management, they aimed to streamline the customer experience and, importantly, revolutionize their internal workflows for more efficient and transparent article data management.
"Our ambition has always been to maintain transparency and simplicity in our information," shares Karin Ahlstrand, Assortment Manager and Project Manager at IsaDora.
"As our customers' demand for detailed product data grew, we found our old ways of individual departments working in silos of Excel documents unsustainable for our pace of growth. We realized we couldn't provide the seamless data access they required in an efficient manner."
Sought a system to manage large volumes of product data
On their wishlist was a partner who could help structure their processes, and above all, simplify the handling of the massive amount of product data IsaDora possesses. Eventually, they selected Gung.
"One reason we chose Gung was their expertise in our business system, Garp, and their agility and flexibility in understanding our needs right away. We were able to quickly get started and streamline our work with the product data," explains Karin.
Previously, semi-annual meetings and paper presentations were sufficient for distributors and customers, but with digitalization and clearer product requirements, this became unsustainable.
"We have a lot of product data, and our customers need accurate information and figures. Gung offered us a service where we could display everything in one place, and most importantly, allow customers to find the information themselves, saving us time and creating a better experience," continues Karin.
"With Gung, it's easy to compile all the information to notify our customers, create custom templates, and export large amounts of data, making it smooth for us."
IsaDora is present in over 40 countries, which means managing hundreds of different assortments can be challenging.

New ERP and the story continues
The transition to a new ERP exceeded expectations. IsaDora decided in 2022 to switch to Microsoft Business Central. The transformation was smooth and easy as Gung was also familiar with the new ERP.
"Gung is very competent with Business Central, so the transition has been smooth, actually beyond expectations. Changing business systems doesn’t happen overnight, but having Gung by our side, where we can ask questions and learn about the new system, feels secure."
Couldn't have asked for a better team Perhaps the most important component of successful collaboration is that it works well for both parties. For Karin, having a partner to ask all kinds of questions has been crucial.
"The team at Gung has a fantastic attitude. Nothing seems impossible for them; they only see opportunities, even when I come up with the wildest ideas," Karin happily shares. "Even though we've had 100 different ways of working, it's never been an obstacle for Gung. Plus, they work quickly with an action-oriented approach that is appreciated!
But most importantly... they're a really great crew!
IsaDora aims to continue strengthening its position as the number 1 beauty brand in the Nordics, but also to increase visibility and improve its position in other countries. To succeed, they need secure systems where they can develop a clear strategy, and they will use Gung as a partner to streamline their work, look at where they can automate, and save time.
